My Three Favorite Breakfast Smoothies

Chocolate Mint Chip Smoothie by Daphne Oz (Dr. Oz's daughter)
Serves 1
1/2 banana
1/2 cup frozen spinach
1/4 avocado
1 tablespoon shredded coconut
1 teaspoon psyllium husk powder or chia seeds
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil or coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
3/4 cup ice
2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Put it all in and blend.


Strawberry-Banana Trim Time Smoothie also by Daphne Oz
Serves 1
1/2 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon almond butter
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
3/4 cup ice

Blend it all together.

My Own - Use What You Got Recipe
Serves 1
1 banana
1 scoop of Trader Joe's Protein Powder
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup frozen berries
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1 teaspoon psyllium husk or chia seeds

Blend it up!
