Week One: In The Backyard

Mother Hen's Summer Survival Guide: 12 Summer Themes

Thank you Crafting Chicks for providing these awesome resources for planning a great summer schedule for kids at home.

We have accepted your challenge and are starting with week one.

Day One:  Renovate the sandbox.  We took all the toys out and had a toy, car wash.  Then we washed out the old sandbox; bugs, slugs, and dirt included.  We took a trip to Lowe's to buy new play sand on sale for $2.50 a bag.  NapTime!!  Fill in with new sand, play, and popsicles in the backyard!

Day Three:  Tents in the backyard.  Why not bring your biggest toys out to the backyard for some new adventures!

Everyday:  Icy Pops!!!  You know the old fashioned, high fructose corn syrup kind that comes 50 to a net bag that you have to freeze?
